For 20 years now, Dr. Wohlt has been medical director of one of the most renowned centers for voice medicine and voice surgery in Europe, with two locations in the music metropolises of Berlin and Vienna.
His special clinical focus covers all diseases of the voice and larynx. He performs laryngological diagnostics and therapy on all conditions affecting healthy and diseased voices.
In addition to the phonosurgical procedures, one particular area he has devoted himself to is vocal arts medicine: the management of disorders and diseases of singers’ and actors’ voices.
As a laryngologist and voice authority in Berlin, Dr. Wohlt has treated many world-famous performing artists. State-of-the-Art Voice Diagnostics and Voice Therapy
As an internationally renowned authority in voice medicine, Dr. Wohlt applies the most current international standards to implement his concern for ultra-accurate voice diagnostics.
These include digital techniques for video recording of the vocal folds (videostroboscopy) as well as computer-driven procedures for acoustic analysis of the voice.
Despite this emphasis on modern technology, diagnosis is always based on a comprehensive medical consultation and an acoustic assessment of the patient's voice.
When singing issues are involved, an examination of the singing voice is required as well.

International Center of Excellence – Berlin (Charlottenburg)
The International Center of Excellence in Berlin is situated in a stately town house built at the turn of the 19th century in the Fasanenstrasse, one of the most elegant streets in the western part of the German capital. The entire floor is decorated in magnificent art nouveau style, featuring its own small concert hall that seats up to 80 people.
The musical centerpiece of the concert hall is a wonderful antique Steinway concert grand piano (Paderewski). It is on this instrument that Dr. Wohlt also works with singers during their postoperative rehabilitation, for example.

Vocal Cord Surgery – Voice Surgery
Dr. Wohlt ranks among the most renowned European specialists in the field of phonosurgery. As a voice surgeon and laryngologist in Berlin Charlottenburg, his main clinical focus is on voice improving operations to treat vocal cord nodules, Reinke's edema (polypoid corditis) and laryngeal papillomatosis. One particular area of Dr. Wohlt’s expertise is the surgical management of patients with vocal cord paralysis.
