Contact by telephone is generally necessary in order to ensure that patient scheduling is precise and reliable.

In principle, all scheduling queries by e-mail need to be confirmed by phone.

E-mail appointments without confirmation by phone are only acceptable in special cases, e.g. patients with serious voice disabilities or those whose larynx was recently operated on.

Appointments for phonosurgical interventions are generally not scheduled until after Dr. Wohlt has convinced himself of the surgical indication after an initial consultation and diagnostics and has discussed this comprehensively with the patient. In this event, a second trip to Berlin or Vienna for the surgery may be required.

It is not basically possible for patients who would like to schedule surgery right away, to do so without prior presentation and consultation with Dr. Wohlt, unless findings and a diagnosis mandating surgery have been previously rendered by an ENT specialist or phoniatrician. The appropriate records should be transmitted in advance by fax or e-mail.

Both locations are equipped with capacities for outpatient as well as inpatient surgeries.
